About Advance Squash Coaching

Andy Hay

Hi, my name is Andy Hay. I am a professional squash & racketball coach and am passionate about playing, coaching and developing squash in the community. I believe that learning and improving your game will enhance your enjoyment of it.

After working as a Chartered Mechanical Engineer for 15 years, I decided to become a professional squash & racketball coach in March 2010. I now dedicate my time to inspire people to play and excel in squash and racketball. I work in schools, leisure centres and clubs in Nottinghamshire & N.E. Derbyshire, coaching both adults and juniors.

Squash History

I started playing squash at the age of 16 and absolutely loved the game. It was a battle on court, it was a stress buster, and it was a challenge. After playing a good game of squash, I felt great.

I’ve played in several clubs in Hampshire and Nottinghamshire and competed in their teams in county leagues and club competitions. Ten years ago I gained my Level 1 coaching certificate and helped start the junior squash coaching at Bounty Squash Club, Basingstoke (which is still going strong today).

I am now a Level 3 Advanced Squash & Racketball coach. I initiated the start of Sutton Squash Club, Nottinghamshire and have been coaching adults and juniors at the club for 6 years.
